JAB commenced offering accreditation services for environmental management system registration scheme in June 1996,and has been accredited as of July 2001, 30 registration bodies, 18 auditor training bodies and one auditor certification body. The number of registered organizations registered with JAB through registration bodies is 5,473 as of July 2001.

The number of auditors registered with the Center of Environmental Auditors Registration in Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry as of July 2001, amounts to 6,010.
