Title |
Using Safety and Instruction Manuals to Minimize the Risk and Damage of Litigation |
Duration |
1.0 Days (1.0 CEU's) |
Summary |
This one-day program will address the needs of engineering and safety departments for concise, practical legal counsel in the development of safety manuals. The seminar helps manufacturers develop a universal approach to "the duty to warn and instruct" while fulfilling domestic and European product safety obligations. Safety manuals -- where manufacturers admit the risks inherent in the use of their products -- lie at the heart of product liability suits and often serve as the pivotal tool, which determines ultimate culpability in a workplace accident. Most engineers need direct exposure to legal expertise to actually improve the approach and usefulness of manuals. This program aims to fulfill that need. |
