Title |
Managing a "Product Safety" Department and/or an EHS Program via the Internet |
Duration |
1.0 Days (1.0 CEU's) |
Summary |
This one-day program will address the needs of engineering teams in the establishment of a product safety department and/or an EHS (environmental health and safety) program. The first day provides an overview regarding the importance of effective product safety and/or EHS management -- particularly in the light of US litigation risks. The seminar will then cover the core systems required to manage product safety and/or EHS, along with a case study of a particular industry (i.e., the semiconductor manufacturing industry) to help apply general concepts, principals and measures for EHS management. The second day involves an actual evaluation and review by a safety practitioner to assess company systems. The evaluation is followed up with a report of recommendations to help develop an action plan. |
