Summary 
This seminar will apply the concepts of risk assessment and risk reduction (EN 12100-2010) to safety-related parts of control systems (EN 13849). The program will detail the characteristics of safety functions and the required risk assessment measures depending on the "category" of the safety function. The seminar will describe a analysis techniques for systems reliability, including a review of FMEA methods (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis). The program will further detail validation techniques per EN 13849-1.
