Products that comply with national standards transposing harmonized standards, the reference numbers of which have been published in the Official Journal of the European Communities, are presumed to comply with the corresponding essential requirements. Where the manufacturer has not applied, or has only partially applied, such a standard, the measures taken and their adequacy must be documented in order to comply with the essential requirements.
