This organization recently changed its name from the China Standards Information Center (CSIC), to the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS). For standards purposes however, CSIC is still valid. The China National Institute of Standardization is a professional information institute at the national level engaged in collecting, processing, researching and offering information services on standards, metrology and quality. It is linked to many highly up-to-date databases, such as the standards databases of a number of national and international standards organizations. In addition, it has developed the database for Chinese national standards, sectoral standards, ISO/IEC standards, a database for quality products through national supervision and a database for Chinese certified companies and products.
