The China Commission for Conformity Certification of Electrical Equipment issues the CCEE Mark, also known as the Great Wall Mark. CCEE is a non-profit impartial organization established in 1984, to provide safety certification for electrical products. The organization is made up of experts and representatives from various governmental agencies in China. CCEE is authorized by the China State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision as the Chinese National Certification Body (NCB) and is the Chinese representative in the CB Scheme.

The CB Scheme was established by the International Electro-technical Committee for Conformity Testing to standards for Electrical Equipment (IECEE) and allows for mutual acceptance of test reports among participating safety organizations in certain product categories.

According to the rules and Procedures for Certification of Electrical Equipment", which were formally issued in January 1989, all products that are required by the Chinese Government to have mandatory certification are not permitted to be sold, manufactured, imported or used in China without the CCEE Mark. This applies also to products manufactured domestically in China. As its only authorized representative in the United States, SIMCOM provides facilitation services to companies regarding procedures and testing applicable to obtaining the Great Wall Mark for electrical products.
