SIMCOM's web-based training is an innovative approach to distance learning on a variety of topics. The pentElligence system involves five distinct steps:
Step 1: The Preparatory Assessment Statistical Survey (PASS)TM
A web-based student survey used to collect important information about each potential student. Using these results, each student is assigned to a specific Training Optimization Group (TOG).
Step 2: Training Optimization Groups (TOG)TM
This step provides a comprehensive on-line introduction to each specific course. Each student listens to an animated character named TOG, who provides information supportive to a positive training experience.
Step 3: Individual Skills and Needs AnalysisTM
This process-step assesses each individual's beginning knowledge of the curricula. Upon completion of the ISNA, SIMCOM evaluates the input and notifies the student of their suggested Self-Administered Educational Fulfillment Module, including their level of instruction, e.g., Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced.
Step 4: Self-Administered Educational Fulfillment (SAEF)TM
Numerous courses are offered via the Internet enhanced by interactive graphics, practice tests and other user-friendly features. Each student may work at their own pace and within their individualized curricula, while enjoying 24/7 access to the content.
Step 5: Community Learning and Activity Sessions
After completion of the SAEF modules a battery of ESH experts offer live Community Learning and Activity Sessions. Designed to be flexible to a students' job schedules, each CLASS is offered at varied times, over numerous dates. During the CLASS program, each student is provided with small group activities, question and answer sessions and a thorough review of the course material.
