According to the stipulations of the law of PR China on import and export commodity inspection and the regulations for the implementation of the law of PR China on import and export commodity inspection, the Chinese government has recently mandated EMC testing for six (6) commodities listed in the catalogue of import commodities subject to the safety license system. Those commodities are:
The aforementioned products must obtain a safety license certificate for import commodities issued by CIQ SA and bear the CCIB Mark before they are allowed to be imported and sold in China. Products that have already obtained a safety license certificate for import commodities and are subject to mandatory EMC testing need to be re-tested to meet EMC requirements before January 1, 2000.
